HDR addiction

Ive been playing again - this time with HDR and it is soooooo addictive. HDR basically takes 3 exposures - one normal, one over and one under exposed and combines all 3. You can do some real whacky stuff with your pics or keep them pretty sane - I dont do sane so thats that out of the window LOL

Yeah, yeah, yeah I know I havent been blogging for yonks cos Ive turned into a veg potato on these tablets - oh and one that cries every minute of the day but manages still to be a non smoker.....I cant believe it will be 4 weeks on sunday!!!!

To be honest you havent missed much as Ive been such a nightmare - sad eh! Oh apart from the works Xmas do where I ended up extremely drunk and yep, you guessed it, sobbing at the end of the night!! I did manage do drink 3 bottles of Pinot though!!

Mum and Gramps bought me my Canon 400d for Xmas and I was allowed to have it early so Ive been doing lots of playing and I must start again with HS:MS as I will be around for daylight over the next 10 days. Here's a couple of the latest...

Just wanted to let everyone know Im still around but I have been preoccupied with other things the past couple of weeks.

The one good piece of news is that I have given up smoking - yep I know, pick yourself back up off the floor cos its true!!! I started taking Champix last wednesday with my quit date being tomorrow but after a couple of days I was down to smoking 2/3 a day so sunday evening thought "sod it whats the point" and I havent had a nasty ciggie since. Im sooooooo proud of myself and believe me these tabs are miracle pills as they stop pretty much all cravings. My only concern I do have is that I have been itching all over since doubling the dose - its due to double again tomorrow but I have a funny feeling this is going to be an allergic reaction again as Im so prone to them GRRRRRRRRR

Anyway I will be a good blogger I promise and will probably be back for good next week. Ta ta for now x

I have been eyeing up the Bad Girls kits over the last few months and decided to take the plunge - although there is a wait list there are lots of places opening up in Dec WOOHOO!!!

The biggest excitement was when I took a look at the design team and found it was 2 of my fav designers ever!!!! I show a lot of work on here from IrisBabao Uy who is also a Prima DT member as I totally adore her work and am also loving Cari Fennell who LO's you can see below.

Roll on Dec now - anyone would think its Xmas ;-)

Im struggling at the mo with piccies due to the available daylight so most of the piccies will be work related in some way - not the best attempt but its been "one of those mondays" LOL

Had fun as usual at the crop yesterday and managed 5 layouts which Im really proud of.

Apologies Ive been a bit slow this week as its been rather manic at work and have just wanted to chill in the evenings so fridays inspiration will be up at some point tomorrow however I did want to show you these

They are mini wall decals at 4x4" and there are about 100 designs available and I thought they could be superb for LO's - think of them as an easy rubon!!! At $6 incl shipping for 5 you cant really go wrong so Im gonna give them a try and let you know how I get on!!

And this is cute little Pickles on Hallowe'en with Caz's daughters ears on - now that didnt make sense as theyre not Georgia's real ears LOL It was very difficult to get a good pic as Pix was not impressed and kept shaking them off LOL

This week we are going to focus on emotions. We prompt you with one word and you translate it the best you can through your lens. Try hard as you can not to use a human face to reflect that emotion. For instance - Sad. A dying plant, a messy corner, mucky windows (we all have them at one point!)

This piccie was taken in Turkey this year - one hand it was lovely to see the fisherman bringing in their daily trawl and feeding the stray cats but it was so sad to see the state of them, how hungry they were and how quick they would wolf the fish down. Stray animals makes me feel sad as anything living deserves the best life but I dont have room for more than 2 moggies :-(

This was taken a few years ago at Oia in Santorini - one of the top ten places in the world for the best sunsets...it was truly stunning. People arrive really early there for the sunsets and it gets very busy so finding a good spot is difficult but definitely well worth it.

I was always the child that would never do as I was told and am pretty much the same in adulthood so after much contemplation I decided to take a completely different stance on todays HS:MS challenge (well actually I couldnt find anything indigo in my space LMAO)

The Chakra meaning of Indigo is:

A mix of blue and violet, it is the color of knowledge. It is the color of dignity and Intuition
Some signs that the Brow Chakra is out of balance are:
Jumping to conclusions
Confusion
Indecision
Inability to see the bigger picture in life situations
Too much INDIGO and our ego can get the better of us, thinking we are spiritually above the more "common" folk.
Too little INDIGO, and we can become oversensitive, fearful, and undisciplined, withdrawing into the fantasies of romantic novels and wishful thinking.

This photo was taken at my cousins wedding when I had just split from my fiancee - it was a challenging day for me as I had just cancelled all my wedding details and was oversensitive through the whole ceremony. I was certainly lacking in indigo that day!

Anyone who knows me will know I am the biggest fan of these albums as they are so sturdy and lush so go on grab yourself a bargain as these seriously wont last long!!! Been having another play this morning and its great the way you can arrange the pics and change them automatically to sepia or monochrome.

After spending most of the night looking for some photo collage software (as its too blimmin tricky in PSE) I came across Life Poster and thought Id download it to try as it was shareware. What I did find is that although its shareware it means you can save the files you create in a large enough quality for 8x10" but no larger.....well if you ask me thats purrrrfect as I only wanted it for printing collage photos to scrap and not for posters. Result!!!!

Whilst we're on the software front on UKScrappers tonight was also a link to Palette Generator which is a fab web application which allows you to upload a pic and it automatically picks out the main colours which is great for selecting papers as you can look at it from a different angle.

Then we also have Calendar which allows you to upload a pic and creates a calendar beneath it. I right clicked and saved mine but because it was such a small file size I was concerned as to whether you could print it ok as a photo so decided to check the quality and uploaded it to Photobox - no problems there!!!

And last but not least my other fav is Frame. Again you can upload your own pic and it creates a stamp from it (you can select date etc).

I cant believe its taken me nearly a week to get over jetlag - Ive never suffered from it before so can only think it was the delay that made things worse. Still very tired and didnt get a lie in today as it was crop day but Im sure I will make up for it next weekend!!!

Wasn't as busy today at the crop although I still managed to get 5 LO's done even though I lost my mojo completely for the first 1.5 hours!! Spent the day scrapping the holiday pics for my travel album - there's so many nice ones that I thought it best to start with the island pages and was quite pleased with the results.

Getting stupidly excited now and just cant wait to get back on the baby ship - she's sooooo adorable!

Today was packing day - rather amusing...

went to market to buy holdall (figures theyre lighter than a suitcase hence more to pack in)

bought 2, got home, too big

went back to market, decided to get a new suitcase after all LMAO pink of course!

Tomorrow is lawn mowing day - I really dont understand why I have the need to make the house ultra tidy just cos Im going on hols....I even hoover the day before LMAO now whats that about!!!!

Oh well only 6 more sleeps - well could class it as 5 as the night before we're staying at Heathrow and I reckon thats all part of the holiday!

I altered the pin board today and decided to keep it pretty simple with a LO in the middle so there is still space around the outside to use the pinboard - it was hard to stop myself adding more cos I knew there was space LOL
